What is premium testing?

Going a step further than community testing, premium testing lets you offer O2 Litmus members payment for doing more structured and in-depth testing.

You can set up pre-agreed test cases and target specific O2 Litmus members by handset or location. By offering a cash incentive, you'll increase the interest in your project.

How to launch a premium test

Make sure you've created a test case that explains how you want O2 Litmus members to test your app.

Visit your "My apps" page and choose to launch an app. Then click on "launch a premium app" and complete the process. You'll be able to set various test parameters, such as duration and end date as well as invite specific testers.

Process

When your app has cleared moderation, any O2 Litmus members you invited will be sent their invites automatically. Other members will still be able to find your app in the applications section, read your test case and make a bid for testing.

You will receive all bids and can choose to accept or decline them in the "Apps in premium testing" tab on your "My apps" page.

Once you accept a bid to test and you deposit the agreed sum into escrow, the O2 Litmus member can download your app and get testing. They will submit the completed test case within the test duration you specified and you will have five days to review and contest if necessary before payment is released.

Test case template

You can use premium testing to get whatever feedback you like, but to get you started we've provided a template below. This contains a range of technical tests and market research questions. Of course you are free to customise this templates or create your own.
