What you see here is the culmination of a long journey during which we have spent a lot of time talking to O2 customers, application developers and industry expert types to ensure O2 Litmus is not just another "me too" offering, but something truly unique and valuable.
I hope that O2 Litmus will become a place where passionate mobile enthusiasts and application developers can come to together to collaborate and co-create. Developers can test and sell their new products with a tech-savvy audience, and O2 customers benefit through finding and influencing the latest and greatest apps before anyone else.
Developers will find a wide range of support for taking their apps from the glint of an idea through to rolling out their fully fledged apps to the O2 UK customer base and beyond. Once signed in, check out the ‘Tools’ page for more information. Although we have been preparing this behind the scenes for some time, we know we are going to make mistakes and it will be far from perfect.
Therefore we want to attract as many liked minded people as possible to join and to collaboratively shape how O2 Litmus develops, so start spreading the word! Via this blog and the forums, you can stay in touch with developments and you have an open door to tell us what you think about O2 Litmus and what you would like to see in the future. Finally, coordinated with our launch on the 12th December 2008 we will be running an intimate event at The O2 Arena from 10am on the 12th.
You can watch live by clicking here: http://www.ustream.tv/channel/o2-litmus-developer-day .
So thanks for taking the time to check us out. Take a good look around, register, get to know the platform, and let us know what you think – as the saying goes, this is just the beginning!
