New O2 App to try out, Request for O2 Community to try out a new O2 App Options

Hi -

My name is Simon Humphries - I have been dabbling in Mobile technologies for a few years and I have recently created my first Java (J2ME) App which is intended for O2 users to view account details along with real-time allowance information to track voice, data and message usage.

The demo O2 Account App is available for community testing and is intended as a proto-type to determine if this type of App might prove useful to the O2 community – if there is enough positive feedback then I will create an enhanced version with more functionality and access to real-time O2 information.

To download the App, text ‘APP ACCOUNT’ to 88010 – an SMS and WAP-Push response will include a download link, along with a 6 digit PIN to activate the App (normal SMS charges apply).

Enter PIN & Mobile number first time app is launched (for ease of testing the proto-type App can be activated with any 6 digit number).

Due to restrictions of test data availability the app will only return data for a single test account.
