Everyone, please be aware that EasyReject is NOT free. Actualy, after donloading and installing it will tell you to buy a license, which costs 9.50. So it is defenetly NOT FREE! I believe that O2Litmus MUST show price clear before making people downloading that and simmilar "free" programm.

Thanks for pointing this out, we take these things very seriously and we will check it out first thing on Monday.
Please note that the pricing is set by the developers of the apps, not O2, but we agree that listing an app as free when it is not is not acceptable. |

OK, the Litmus support team have been evaluating the app this morning, and here is what we are going to do.
Firstly to clarify two important points: 1) The app behaviour: Yes it does promote a paid for license to unlock all the features of the app, but you can decline this and continue to use a limited feature version of the app. This is a standard practice in the app world. 2) The pricing and terms and conditions of usage are set by the developer in question, not by O2. Our terms are set out here if you are interested in learning more about what we expect from our developers: http://www.o2litmus.co.uk/webtc In terms of next steps: We are contacting the developer to request they make it explicitly clear in the app description that the free version is limited, and there is a paid for license required to unlock the full features of the app. Of course the beauty of Litmus is the power is in the hands of the community, so if you do not like any app then you are free to using the rating buttons to vote apps up or down which will effect their prominence and potential for success in launching on the O2 or Telefonica network. Of course we expect all criticism to be constructive, and I'd point you to our community guidelines here for more info: http://www.o2litmus.co.uk/community-guidelines I hope you agree this is a sensible approach, and we welcome any other feedback. |

That sounds like a sensible approach to take, and that the developer makes clear his/her app is a limited features app until paid for...
of course, that needs checking, so do they have to have reapproval for the app?? Im going to close this thread as its in the intro forum and theres a direct copy in the Litmus customer forum here. |
