Q: How are the apps deployed to the Joggler?
A: We are looking to provide you a shiny new portal to upload your Joggler applications as we do for other devices, but this may take some time. If you want to get ahead of the game, get in touch at contact@o2litmus.info and we’ll work together on getting your application onto the Joggler before the launch of the app store.
Q: Will there be an approval process for apps?
A: We need to make sure that the application works correctly with the Joggler and to make sure that the application’s content is appropriate, so there will be an approval process. We’re designing this to be as quick and painless as possible for developers. We may also do further technical evaluations and testing, depending on the nature of the application.
Q: How can I test my application on my device?
A: There is a simulator available in the SDK toolkit that is now live on O2 Litmus, which allows you to test your application in the OpenPeak framework.
Q: I’m having problems with the SDK. Will it be updated?
A: The SDK platform is under constant improvement and it is not a final piece. We are very keen to hear about your prospective needs, so if you want to find out more and see if you’re app can be one of the first to appear on the Joggler, get in touch at contact@o2litmus.info.
Q: Will the Joggler support paid for apps?
A: Initially, the Joggler will only support free applications, but there are plans for paid for apps. More details of this to follow shortly and we’ll update you as soon as this is confirmed.
Q: Is there a way developers can get discounted or loan Jogglers?
A: We’re in the process of developing a programme that offers support to developers who wish to develop apps for the Joggler. We’re still finalising the details of the support programme, but we hope to publish the details very soon.
Q: What is the market size / opportunity?
A: Unfortunately, we can’t disclose this information. But our base of customers with the Joggler is expected to grow throughout 2010, so it’s a fantastic opportunity for developers to reach a new market of tech-savvy customers.
