“There was one app that stood out in terms of answering the brief we set. O2 Tips
provides a great way for our customers to get the best out of what we’re giving them,
which is just what we were hoping for. We’re now starting to work with Jon to get the app
out to our customers asap” James Parton, Head of O2 Litmus

What were we looking for?
We asked developers to come up with an app that could help us build a lasting relationship between
O2 and our customers. The developer that rose to this challenge best would be awarded £10k, and
have their app distributed to O2’s customer base.

What did we learn along the way?
This was the first time we’d run a competition like this and we didn’t get it all right. We’ve listened to
you, and made a few changes along the way. As we’re planning on running similar competitions in
the future we hope this means they’ll run as seamlessly as possible. We’d still like to know what you
think, so let us know on the O2 Litmus forum.
Finally, although this was a competition for working apps, we were swamped with great ideas for
apps from O2 customers. As a result, we will now explore ways to bring customer ideas to life in
future competitions
Thank you!
